On September 10, 2014, the Lake Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau presented the Lake Geneva YMCA with the 2014 Lake Geneva Community Betterment Award.
This distinguished award is presented to the business, organization or entity which has made significant contributions to the Geneva Lakes area’s quality of life.
With the mission of strengthening the community, the YMCA is all about helping residents learn, grow and thrive. Every day, the YMCA works side by side with its neighbors to increase the quality of their lives regardless of age, income or background.
The Y received the award for a number of reasons, a key one being its increased programming and presence in Lake Geneva over the past year, with a focus on encouraging family participation. In 2014, the Y has offered more than 80 programs for all ages from 6 months old and up that promote wellness for the spirit, mind and body.
Thank you and congratulations to the YMCA staff, board members, volunteers and supporters for the role you've played in this achievement, & helping the Y strengthen our community every day!
