Requirements:

1. Has a thorough understanding of Parkinson’s Disease and participants with various stages of Parkinson’s.
2. Arriving 15 minutes at least before class to help set up class, greet participants and caregivers, class or classes as well as being available to help sub additional classes as needed.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in fitness.
4. Proper organization of class teachings regarding class format, set up, and clean up within scheduled class time.
5. Participation in quarterly mandatory Group Fitness meetings.
6. Ability to engage class participants in an educational, friendly, and fun atmosphere.
7. Ability to teach creative workouts with the equipment and spaces provided.
8. Good communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
9. Maintain a current National Commission for Certifying Agencies(NCCA) accredited certificate of Personal Trainer and a Rock Steady Boxing Instructor Certification is required.
10. CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 60 days of hire; Paid Child Abuse Prevention training prior to start date.
11. Technology understanding and skills to utilize our online Paychex system biweekly.
12. Good communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
13. Understand that Rock Steady Boxing is a trademark program and must be authorized to instruct under the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA affiliate site only. Participating/leading a competing program outside of the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA would qualify for termination of employment.
