Facility Update | May 22, 2020
We are pleased to announce that the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA is reopening on Thursday, May 28 at 5 am to active members only!! We want to open our doors in a safe, cautious manner. In order to be fully operational again, we will need to do this in phases. On Thursday, we are starting PHASE ONE. We do not know how long this phase will last, but we are closely following the recommended guidelines and policies for our industry. With that explanation, you will need an appointment prior to arriving at the YMCA to help control social distancing and space requirements. Please watch the video below so you know what to expect upon your arrival and to help guide you through this new process. Please click on the social distancing icon to view.
PLEASE REVIEW THIS INFORMATION OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. WE WILL BE BACK IN THE OFFICE ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY FROM 8 AM-5 PM TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE AT 262.248.6211.
NEW POLICIES & PROCEDURES
We have provided you with an electronic copy of the new policies and procedures below for Phase I. Again, we do not know how long Phase I will be, but we hope to begin to lift some of these restrictions, as we move forward in the weeks ahead. We will continue to communicate these changes via email, on our website and post on Facebook.

Facility Update | May 14, 2020
Reopening Date Announced
We hope this communication finds our YMCA family well and excited to come back! With the sudden announcement of the "Safer at Home" restriction being lifted the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA will be reopening their facility on Thursday, May 28 to our active members only. We are finalizing our new policies and program plans, to facilitate safe social distancing and to ensure that our facility meets the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Before we can bring our facility to full operation, we must implement this opening in phases over the next few months for the safety of all our members, program participants, staff and volunteers. Prior to our facility opening, you will be receiving our new policies, procedures and scheduling process which will be emailed to you, placed on our website and posted on Facebook.
While we all wish we can go back to "normal" it will take some time to get there. As we work through this transition in the months ahead, we would greatly appreciate your continued cooperation and support moving forward. If you would like to make any changes to your membership, please email email@example.com with your first and last name, date of birth and what action you would like taken on your account.
Thank you! We will be stronger together!
Facility Update | April 17, 2020
Due to the “Safer at Home” extension the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA will continue to remain closed. It is our intent to reopen when this restriction is lifted or when our industry has been given the clearance to open again.
Here at the Y, we have been working very hard during this crisis to simply ensure that we can keep our skeleton workforce in place, continue to serve our communities, and pay some rather significant fixed costs until we can all get back to our normal lives.
Despite the loss in revenue due to our doors being closed, it is our mission to continue to serve our community and we are responding to this crisis in the following ways:
Keeping our members engaged during isolation by providing quality, online fitness classes, offering free weekly themed Take-It-To-Go Kits for members and making personal phone calls by our staff to keep you connected physically, socially and spiritually during this situation.
Distributed nutritious, free “Grab N Go” lunches to people of all ages to ensure no one goes hungry.
Acting as a Blood Drive location to help meet the severe shortage of life-saving blood.
Providing Essential Childcare services for those essential workers who are on the front lines and do not have access to safe, supervised care for their children.
We are hoping you can continue to Stay With Us during this difficult time by keeping your membership active as we have pivoted to critical community needs. We are committed to doing everything possible to secure the future of the Y, and its services in these uncertain times.
All of us are grateful for the outpouring of support many of you have expressed. Closure for any length of time represents a significant threat to our nonprofit organization. While we understand this may not be feasible for all households, we ask you to please consider. If you are unable to do so, action is required on your behalf to make any changes to your membership by completing the online membership change form at: www.GenevaLakesYMCA.org/rates.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Y family. I hope you and your loved ones stay healthy through this challenging period.
Stay With Us! We are Stronger Together.

Geneva Lakes Family YMCA
FRIDAY, march 27 | 8 AM
Due to the "Safer at Home" announcement by Governor Evers, the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA will stay closed until Monday, April 27. We will continue to monitor the situation and stay connected with our local authorities and Y-USA on future decisions. In the meantime, we miss you! We are trying to stay connected with you on our Facebook page (Geneva Lakes Family YMCA), as we share videos from our Directors, provide words of encouragement from Pastor Don and post helpful program reminders as we move through the weeks ahead. We sincerely appreciate everyone that continues to the support the YMCA during this difficult time. Your continued membership, uplifting posts on Facebook and thoughtful prayers has made a world of difference and will make us Stronger Together!
We continue to serve the community through our Grab N' Go lunch program through March 27, from 12 noon-1 pm by providing FREE bag lunches to anyone in the community. Just pull up into the Y parking lot and grab a lunch. Compliments of the YMCA, Lake Geneva Jaycees and Piggly Wiggly.
All members are handling their membership account situation differently. Some are putting a "hold" on their membership which means once we determine when we can re-open a "credit" will go on your account towards your membership fee. Others have chosen to keep their membership going as a "donation" to the YMCA to help us during this time of need. We do still have some overhead we need to pay and a skeleton crew of staff are working to help with membership questions and handle communication. In addition, we are offering assistance to our community by providing essential childcare (see below) and during the week of March 23 we provided FREE Grab N' Go lunches to the community. We understand everyone is in a different situation and we will support any decision you make. If you do want to put your membership on hold, please click on the link below and complete the form so we know how to handle your account. There is a spot to tell us you would like this on hold. If you want to continue to support us the Y appreciates YOU and the needed support.

The COVID-19 situation has caused much anxiety, stress and panic among the American people. As we announced we will be closed for the next two weeks many of you were concerned about membership fees. While we are being optimistic that this is only for the short-term, we are also hoping our members will support the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA.
During this time, we will still be managing and deep cleaning the facility and will have overhead to pay. The YMCA has been in this community for over 130 years and we want to be here for you once we get through this challenging time. We will offer system membership credits to those who go to our website to submit their request at: GenevaLakesYMCA.org/main/rates. Please click on the blue button that reads “Membership Change Form” and complete the information. For those who are willing to continue to support the YMCA during this time, your membership support is much needed.
For those members that have been enrolled in other programs, system credits are being placed on your account by the Program Directors. No action is needed on your part.
We value our members and we thank you for your continued support!

The Geneva Lakes Family YMCA Closes Due to COVID-19
The Y made a very difficult decision and that is to close the YMCA effective today Monday, March 16 at 9 pm through Tuesday, March 31. This now includes the entire facility AND 24/7 access.
While part of our mission is to help individuals and families during this time of crisis, this situation has escalated to a point of considering the health and safety of all our members, guests and staff. Information continues to be released that leads us to reconsider our passion and commitment for social responsibility and to that end we must help support the requirement of limiting group gatherings.
We understand there will be some interruption in access to your membership, however, your continued support is appreciated. We will continue to monitor this situation and respond accordingly. Our tentative plan is to still offer Spring Day Camp next week.
