Position Summary

Under direction from the Sports Operations Director, will prepare and maintain athletic fields for league games during the week as well as weekend tournaments. 

Under the direction of the Child Watch Coordinator, the Child Watch Staff are responsible for providing safe and nurturing child care for all children entering the YMCA Child Watch in harmony with the mission statement and policies of the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA. Monday-Wednesday 4:15-7:30PM.

POSITION SUMMARY

Facilitate rock climbing programs while assuring safe climbing conditions and observation areas in harmony with the

mission statement and policies of the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA.

As a Custodian Worker, you will perform the necessary functions and activities required to maintain a clean and pleasing appearance of the building - providing a quality experience focused on YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Position Summary

Under the supervision and guidance of the School Age Child Care & Camp Director, the Enrichment Leader is responsible for the supervision of children and execution of the Y BASE program. This is a school-year position requiring approximately 10-25 hours per week dependent on your position. This will also include School Day Out days at the Y.

Safety Around Water Instructor Job Description

Our SAW Instructors maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures and serves our members and community as a whole, through our YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

This program teaches children the skills on how to be safe in and around water. We partner with area schools to provide opportunities for all Walworth County second graders to participate in this program FREE thanks to a generous grant by Kikkoman Foods. As a SAW Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in promoting water safety and teaching swimming skills to individuals of all ages. Your energetic approach and passion for swimming will inspire students to develop confidence in the water while ensuring their safety and enjoyment. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, maintaining the pool environment, and providing exceptional guest services.

What you’ll do

• Conduct swimming lessons for various skill levels, ensuring a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and goals
• Monitor pool activities to ensure safety and adherence to all safety protocols
• Perform routine pool maintenance, including cleaning and chemical balancing
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance as needed, demonstrating your commitment to student safety
• Engage with guests to enhance their experience, answering questions and providing support
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to pool equipment setup and maintenance
• Collaborate with fellow instructors to create a positive team atmosphere

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision and guidance of the CEO, this position is responsible for the development and administration of adult and youth sports programs. The Sports Director should have strong people skills, organizational and administrative skills, including program development, supervision of staff and volunteers, financial development, and member service.

This director will develop and implement new programs into the YMCA during the course of her/his employment. Must believe in the YMCA’s philosophy and mission and be willing to teach, model, and implement character development values into all they oversee. This position is considered a professional-level position and is an exempt salaried position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. The programs of responsibility are seasonal, and some seasons may require more than 40 hours per week.
