Position Summary
Help develop, organize, and implement high-quality youth/adult sports programs and maintain program fields under the direction of the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA’s Sports Director. Supervise PT staff, assists, concession, fields, PT coordinators. Ensure Veteran Park runs smoothly spring and summer. Work closely and schedule accordingly for weekly coverage with peer FT Seasonal coordinator.

Essential Functions
The FT Sports Coordinator will:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service while working in a very fast-paced environment.
- Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives. Helps expand youth sports program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Transports and sets up equipment for games and practices. Responsible for making sure fields are maintained, groomed, and ready daily for practices, games, and weekend tournaments.
- Develops and distributes team practice and game schedules; oversees and/or schedules sports officials; develops and distributes sports rules, guidelines, and handbooks.
Distributes team uniforms and awards; coordinates team photographs. - On-site as a supervisor, including weekend tournaments if necessary.
- Assist the Sports Director with the organization of leagues, scheduling refs/games, acquiring volunteer coaches, umpires, and supporting all activities.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
- Helps plan and facilitate summer youth sport camps.
- Umpires when necessary.
- Reports daily to the Sports Director for assignments.
All other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
- Sports experience preferred, flexible schedule.
- Minimum age of 18 years and must pass a reference and a criminal background check.
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include Adult and Pediatric CPR, First Aid & AED; Blood borne Pathogens. Must complete Child Abuse Prevention Video Courses before the first day.
