Description:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Montessori Director, the After Care Staff is responsible for the supervision of children in our Montessori after care program. This is a school-year position requiring approximately 15 hours per week depending on classroom schedule position. 7-10AM and Free family YMCA membership for applicants household if hired. 12-4pm hours also available some days.
Requirements:
- $200 signing bonus $100 at start and $100 at end of 2026 school year.
- Minimum age of 16 years old.
- Have a sincere interest and ability to comprehend the needs of children to develop positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must complete four Presidium Child Abuse Courses before the start date.
- CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
- Completion of Abusive Head Trauma Prevention course.
- Must pass FBI Fingerprint Background Check before the start date.
Qualifications:
- Able to be active and work with children from 2 to 5 years old in a fast-paced environment.
- Serve as a role model to staff and participants.
- Engage children in meaningful learning opportunities.
- Communicate with parents with professionalism and respect.
- Follow school emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all children.
- Communicate with the Director regarding any emergency concerns or situations.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work and program space at all times.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
- Uphold and exemplify the policies and guidelines of the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA and the Lake Geneva Montessori School at all times.
