Description:
Thursdays 5-7PM - Under the supervision and guidance of the Sports Operation Director, we are looking for someone to teach Tumbling and to groups of children between the ages of 2-14. Free family YMCA membership for applicants household if hired.
Requirements:
- Implement program ideas.
- Plan, prepare and lead classes.
- Setting up equipment and mats for programs.
- Ensure safe and risk free environment at all times while meeting the individual needs of the participants.
- Act as a role model, exhibit good judgment and have a strong awareness of safety; know and understand all emergency procedures.
- Be responsible for solving problems in a positive manner and operate in a busy atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or obtain within 60 days of hire
- Experience working with youth between 2-14
- Experience teaching or participating in gymnastics, and or dance
- Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently
- Must possess excellent child/parent communication skills
- Must complete and clear a background/criminal history check
- Must complete Child Abuse Prevention video course prior to first day on duty
