As one of the leading nonprofits and volunteer-led organizations in the Geneva Lakes area, the Y is a great place to volunteer! The YMCA serves more than 10,000 communities across the nation. We have the presence and partnerships to not just promise-but to deliver-lasting personal and social change. When you volunteer at the Y, you are taking an active role in bringing about change in your community. The Y appreciates the generosity of all volunteers who supports the programs and services available to all.
A variety of volunteer positions are available throughout the year. Below is a list of some of these opportunities. We always continue to have needs in various departments. If you are looking for something special or have a certain talent, let us know! All YMCA volunteers must complete an application (below) and return it to the YMCA. The Y will perform a background check (for most positions) and will be in touch to get you started with your volunteer position. In addition, some volunteers are required to obtain a certain number of hours. We have also included a Volunteer Timesheet to keep track of hours, tasks and visits to the facility.
