Adult Classes (18+)

We live in an area surrounded by lakes, ponds, streams, rivers and pools. Being comfortable in and around water is an essential skill we ALL must have! Nearly 37% of adults in the United States cannot swim the length of a pool, putting them at risk of drowning, and this problem is generational. When an adult learns to swim, it becomes far more likely that the person's children will learn, breaking the cycle of non-swimming families. To avoid adding to these statistics, see how the YMCA can help! Throughout the year, the YMCA offers both adult beginner and adult progressive lessons. Contact us to see when the next session will be offered.

Homeschool Classes (beginning at 2.5 years)

These day classes are geared towards kids learning from home.  Students learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency including confidence around water, safe water habits, underwater exploration, and how to swim to safety and exit in the event of falling into a body of water.  Activities and games geared to reinforce learning are utilized heavily, as students’ progress in this skill-based approach to swimming. We also offer Preschool Levels 1-3 class for ages 2.5-4 years old. Register for them under the Preschool button found above. Please note that Homeschool classes will start up in the fall again.
